Delphi Developer Days – Fall 2017
The Delphi Developer Days are returning in the fall of 2017, featuring a Delphi workshop that this year focuses on database development. This two-day workshop, presented by Delphi database experts Cary Jensen and Bob (“Dr. Bob”) Swart, offers you an insider’s perspective on database development with Delphi.
The topics include:
Connecting to databases using FireDAC configuration
Important database operations such as reading and writing data, using indices, searching, and filtering.
Special FireDAC techniques, such as:
Creating flexible queries using the SQL preprocessor command
Performing powerful operations with Array-DML
Advanced editing with Cache Updates.
Additionally, multi-tier development with DataSnap using FireDAC and RAD Server will be covered. This section will explain:
Accessing data with mobile applications
Supporting Delphi and non-Delphi clients with REST
Creating RAD Server microservices with Delphi.
Although not mandatory, participants are encouraged to bring a laptop or similar device to the workshop, as there will be opportunities to experiment with the techniques demonstrated using code examples.
All attendees will receive a course book, which includes not only the topics covered during the workshop but also a special edition of Cary Jensen’s “Delphi in Depth: FireDAC.”
Due to the interactive nature of this workshop, space is limited. So be sure to reserve your spot early.
Further Information about the Workshop:
The workshop will be conducted exclusively in English.
Lunch will be provided for participants on all days.
